Well… It’s been an incredible ride so far and we only launched last week! Whether you follow us on Twitter, like us on Facebook or are a member of our forums, we want to thank you. We’ve been so overwhelmed by the support.

In today’s blog, we want to discuss bugs, suggestions and updates…

Suggestions
If you’ve got any suggestions on how to improve Portal Knights, then there are numerous ways you can talk to us. As stated in a previous blog, we have dedicated, pinned forums across our Official and Steam forums, where you can post your suggestions for us to read. Over the coming days, weeks and months, we’ll be asking our community members to fill in surveys related to key aspects of the game. When these surveys go live, please be completely honest with us! We want you guys to feel like you’re a part of the team and not ‘just’ the community. To make Portal Knights the game you want it to be, you have to speak your mind. We won’t be offended… Honest! 😉

Whilst we have our own plans for developing and improving the game, we hope around 50% of our entire dev time is spent bringing your suggestions to life! THIS is why our community is so valuable to us. You guys matter!

Bugs
Since launch, we’ve come to realize that there are bugs and issues that need ironing out. We want to thank you guys for making us aware of some of these problems and providing us with some key info needed to fix them. Whilst the game isn’t completely bug free, please be rest assured that our dev team are working flat out to eliminate these issues. We’re seeing a large number of people open new discussions for bugs. To help us help you, please head over to the ‚Bug Reporting‘ Sub Forum — http://steamcommunity.com/app/374040/discussions/2/ — to see if your bug has been mentioned already.

Please do not report bugs in our ‚General Discussions‘ Sub Forum.

In addition to a detailed explanation of your problem, PLEASE include crash logs, save files, dxdiag.txt, screenshots, etc. with your message. Crash logs, save files, and the dxdiag.txt file from your PC are of great value to Keen in helping track down system-specific issues, particularly the mini dump files that Portal Knights automatically exports, so please do include it if the game gives you an option to create one!

Dxdiag.txt files can easily be created by pressing Win+R, typing “dxdiag” in the Run dialog and pressing Enter, and finally clicking on “Save All Information…”

Update
Yesterday, we released an update to fix some of the issues players have been experiencing. In case you missed our post yesterday, check out our last Announcement for more info.

We know this update doesn’t get eliminate all of the issues, but be rest assured, we’re working on it! The teams are committed to making Portal Knights the best it can be!

The Future
We know some of you have had bad experiences with Early Access, but we want to reassure you that we are in this for the long haul and we plan to develop this game for many moons to come.

We keep saying this, but we want this game to be built with our fans, for our fans!
