Hi everyone! We’re back with another Community Blog. Today, we want to discuss a number of topics, including our latest update and the introduction of one of our biggest community requests. Want to know more? Keep reading…
Steam Update v 1.1
Last week, we launched Update v 1.1 on Steam. This is our first major update since leaving Early Access in May so of course, we wanted to make it a good’un!
Update v 1.1 saw the introduction of all new content, community requests and a bunch of bug fixes. New features included the option to switch between horizontal and vertical split-screen, (something our community have been requesting for a while now) all-new pets and armor, a new active portal VFX, dungeon improvements, a new island, the Kolemis Temple Trials Event and much more!
If you’ve been with us for some time now, you’ll know what to expect next… Whenever we launch an update, we want to gather as much feedback as we can from you guys. Once we launch Update v 1.1 on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, we’ll be publishing a survey for our community to fill in. We’d absolutely love to hear your thoughts! Oh… And please remember to be as open and honest as you can be with us. We want know exactly how you feel about our latest update.
Console Update v 1.1
Don’t panic! It’s coming… Update v 1.1 is now in submission with Sony and Microsoft and once we have a launch date, we will let you guys know! Providing all goes well in submission, we should have that information pretty soon!
Be sure to keep an eye on our community channels for the latest info.
Players on Different Islands
Ahh… The ability to play on different islands during the same multiplayer session.
Now, we know our Steam community are absolutely desperate for this feature to come to the game and guess what… It is! (OK, you already knew that!) But what you don’t know is we’re planning to launch a beta branch on Steam that contains this feature very, very soon.
As in… Tomorrow!
That’s right! The team have been working flat out to bring this feature to Portal Knights and we’re almost there! The plan is to launch a beta branch on July 20th, and give you guys the opportunity to check it out before we implement it into a future update.
Oh… Just a word of warning for when the beta goes live. Please remember that you’ll be downloading the beta at your own risk. We highly recommend you back up your saves before downloading this version of Portal Knights. Stay tuned for more info!
Community Love and Support
Once again, we want to take a moment to thank you guys for your continued show of support. It means so much to the team and we hope you stick with us! As we’ve said many times already, we don’t plan to slow down anytime soon so please, continue to engage with us, continue to build awesome things and continue to support Portal Knights! We need you guys! 🙂
